Keyboard shortcuts
Every promptpov shortcut in one list, and the permission that makes them work while Zoom or Teams is in front.
promptpov's shortcuts work in three different places:
- Anywhere — even while Zoom, Teams or another app is in front, once promptpov has Accessibility permission (see below). Without it, they work only while promptpov is the app in front.
- promptpov in front — menu shortcuts, which work only while promptpov is the active app.
- While typing — in a specific box, such as the AI Assistant or the Notebook.
Meeting
| Keys | What it does | Works |
|---|---|---|
| ⌥1 – ⌥6 | Send reactions 1–6 (✋ ❓ 👍 👎 🎤 ⏰ unless you've changed them). Send a badge again to take it down. Only during a meeting. | Anywhere |
| ⌃⌥⌘U | Catch me up — show or hide a Cockpit card with what you missed | Anywhere |
Your video
| Keys | What it does | Works |
|---|---|---|
| ⌃⌥⌘X | Clear Callouts — take the callouts you sent off your video (pinned-item rotation keeps going until you turn it off in Settings → HUD) | Anywhere |
| ⌃⌥⌘C | Show or hide the Callout Composer (if it's turned on on your dashboard) | Anywhere |
| ⌃⌥⌘P | Turn picture-in-picture off. Works from anywhere while picture-in-picture is on. | Anywhere |
| ⌃⌥⌘S | Turn a sign off | promptpov in front |
| ⌘Return | Show on Video, in the Callout Composer | While typing |
| Return / Esc | Use or cancel, when picking a window or screen area for picture-in-picture | In the picker |
| Return / Esc | Show or cancel, in the custom sign box | While typing |
In a meeting, with Zoom or Teams in front, take a sign down by clicking the sign circle on the Control HUD — one click clears it.

Let shortcuts work while another app is in front
macOS only lets an app notice keys pressed in other apps if you trust it in Accessibility. Without it, the "Anywhere" shortcuts work only while promptpov is in front — not mid-meeting with Zoom or Teams in front.
- In promptpov's menu, choose Run Diagnostic….
- Find Global keyboard shortcuts and click Grant.
- In System Settings → Privacy & Security → Accessibility, switch promptpov on.
- Click back to promptpov. The shortcuts turn on when you return — no restart needed.
If picture-in-picture was already on when you granted the permission, turn it off and on once for ⌃⌥⌘P to work from another app.
Tips
- Most shortcuts are also in promptpov's menu, so you can always click instead. The menu shows each shortcut next to its item.
- From another app, promptpov notices the keys but doesn't take them, so the app in front sees them too. If your cursor is in a text box, such as the meeting's chat, ⌥1 – ⌥6 may also type a character there.
