Show a time box on your video

Put the Cockpit's Pomodoro countdown on your video, so everyone in the meeting can see how much time is left.

Time-boxing only works if everyone can see the clock. Timebox on Video shows the Pomodoro timer from your Cockpit on your outgoing video: start a 10-minute box for a discussion, and every participant sees it count down — no one has to keep announcing the time.

Turn it on

  1. On your dashboard at promptpov.com, enable Timebox on Video (under Context) and Pomodoro Timer (under Timing). The video widget shows the Pomodoro's countdown, so it needs the Pomodoro too.
  2. Drag the Timebox widget where you want it on your video, as with any widget.
  3. Under Style, pick Card (the countdown on a card) or Minimal (just the text and progress bar, no card). Background, text color and font work as on your other widgets.

Use it in a meeting

  1. In the Cockpit's Pomodoro card, tap the minutes to pick a length (5 to 90), then press Start.
  2. Your video shows TIMEBOX and the time left, with a bar filling as the time is used.
  3. At zero it shows TIME'S UP for about 30 seconds, then disappears.
  4. Press ↻ in the Cockpit to start the time box over, or ■ to stop it and take it off your video.

Good to know

  • Nothing appears on your video until you start the timer — there's no "25:00" sitting on your tile all meeting.
  • The countdown on your video and the one in your Cockpit are the same timer: change the minutes in the Cockpit and the video follows.
  • It counts down for everyone the same way your Cockpit does; meeting apps show your video with a small delay, so participants may see it a second or two behind.

Plans

Timebox on Video is part of Pro, like the Pomodoro timer it shows.
